Face of America 2003

These photos were taken at the 2003 Face of America tour, which was organized by World T.E.A.M. Sports. The event was a 3 day bicycling journey from Ground Zero New York (where the Twin Towers used to stand) to the reflection pool of the US Capitol in Washington D.C. The team consisted of 600 cyclist from around the world who rode nearly 100 miles/day. Many of these athletes were war veterans or victims of terrorism; and many had various disabilities. They all cycled for world peace. I feel incredibly fortunate to have met these amazing people. During the 3 day journey my friend Tammi and I gave massages and Reiki at rest stops. We laughed, cried and became friends for life with people from all around the world. This tour was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life.
